A look at Wolfenbarger through mugshots

The eyes, once described as 'cold and dead' have stayed the same throughout.

Back at it

After another little break, I am back to working on the Pesce murders book. Every time I step away, something pulls me back in. Here are a few new project photos.

The Copa Lounge as it sits now. Back in 2002, this was the place to be for bikers.

The liquor store where the murder weapon was dumped.

Full speed ahead

It's been a while since I have updated this, but I wanted to let everyone know that things are moving along nicely. I sort of 'started over' a few months back... scrapped what I had and realized I needed to do all of the research before moving forward with the writing process. Since then, I have continued to be in contact with a couple of the key people in the trial (although John refuses to talk to me) and secured the nearly 3000 page Circuit Court transcript from the trial.

I am also looking forward to a visit to the Livonia Police Department sometime next week. They have agreed to let me into their world a little bit. I am going to tread lightly because this case means a lot to them and I want to represent them to the best of my ability.

I'll keep you posted! Thanks for stopping by.

Correspondence with John Wolfenbarger

Mr. Wolfenbarger responded to my letter finally. He apparently took it the wrong way, as I could not have been more polite and respectful. It was merely a 'here is what I am doing, I would love your input' message. Dennis Lincoln is fully on board however and we have talked at length.

Wolfenbarger gets married

Apparently John Wolfenbarger was wed last week in prison. The information was posted to his Facebook page which surprised me. Should inmates have access to Facebook? Maybe/hopefully they don't and his new wife made the page.

Wolfenbarger's Uncle in an episode of Gangland

I stumbled onto the story of Billy 'Wadd' Smith early on during the writing process. It turns out that the Detroit Diciples were the subject of an episode of History Channel's Gangland series. The Pesce murders are discussed throughout the episode.
